HOW TO SOUND LIKE A NATIVE SPEAKER BY NATHALY

HOW TO SOUND LIKE A NATIVE SPEAKER

To improve pronunciation and sound like a native speaker has to have patience and lot of practice  because if it isn't practiced couldn't be improved and that is why it also takes a long time, give a few tips that might make the pronunciation and these are:

1. Have to connect words, here he explains that in any language spoken is done is say the words to speak faster connect and explains that when a word ends with a consonant and word that follows begins with the same consonant, drop the first one for example are the words black coffee, then you have to read like bla coffee.
2.Squeeze some words, we don't say all the syllables, we don't ever say all the letters; gives an example with the word comfortable but says that native speakers don't say "or".
3. Squeeze some letters, this is particularly true for few letters; An example he gives is the word country and says that native speakers don't say country but say cun-chry and this is because they pronounce the "tr" and "chr".

He advises us to practice because it is more a habit than anything else and other advice given is listening to music in English or watch TV in English, can practice in dictation, trying to hear and cut the words you hear.

The page he gives is a video which shows another tips to improve pronunciation and is that you have a list of words that have the same phonetic like: look, book, took, bull; Here's phonetic spell them according to sounds, phonetic symbol that unites these words is a "u" with a dot.

Is why if a person wants to speak like a native speaker must have your list of words with their phonetic and so can be learning.
